Do you have a compelling film or television concept but need support to develop it into a professional pitch package?
The WGSA Pitch Pack Accelerator is a project development programme designed to assist screenwriters in transforming promising ideas into market-ready film and television projects.
Through a combination of workshops, mentorship, one-on-one consultations, and guest lectures from leading industry professionals, selected participants will receive practical guidance on refining their concepts, strengthening their project materials, and positioning their work for industry opportunities.
The programme places equal emphasis on creative development and commercial readiness, helping participants understand audience expectations, industry trends, funding opportunities, and pitching best practices.
Who Should Apply?
The programme is open to South African screenwriters who:
- Have an original film or television project in development
- Can demonstrate a commitment to developing a professional career in screenwriting
- Are available to participate fully in all programme activities (ONLINE)
- Are eager to receive feedback and engage in a collaborative learning environment

Application Requirements
Applicants will be required to submit:
- A completed application form
- A project logline
- A two-page project synopsis
- A brief writer biography
- A motivation outlining why they wish to participate in the programme

Successful applicants will receive a minimal stipend to support their creative endeavours.
