Back to Basics! A session for Beginners.

In a series of one-hour discussions aimed at the beginner writer, every second Wednesday from 7 February, “Back to Basics”, will look at a range of topics intended to assist the new writer to get their words on the page!

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗧𝗼 𝗕𝗲 𝗔 𝗪𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿?

We’re honoured to have Busisiwe Ntintili, as the Chairperson of the WGSA, and a multiple award-winning film and television writer, director, and producer, with over two decades of industry expertise, leading the discussion.

As the Founder of Sidewalk Productions and The Ntintili Factory, she has been a driving force in independent film and television for 23 years. Renowned for her hit drama series and Netflix original “JIVA!,” Busisiwe’s diverse career spans writing, directing, and producing across various mediums, making her a distinguished and versatile speaker.

Her lifelong vision is to use her creative work to restore the pride of the South African child and empower individuals with creative tools for life transformation.

Together, we’ll explore the motivations, challenges, and profound experiences of being a writer.
