Carol Shore
Carol Shore has been a working scriptwriter and producer of television programmes in the South African television industry since 1978. She has variously, written and produced her own film or television scripts both here and in Canada, under commission directly from broadcasters, or via producers, or overseen other writers, who were writing theirs. She has acted as script editor, script supervisor, head-writer and producer. She has been nominated for, and won several industry awards, two years running for the Star Tonight Scriptwriter of the Year award, and recognition at the Toronto Women in Film Festival for work on “the Stick”. In 2008 she published her book “Writing for South African Television” which launched at the Cape Town Book Fair, and which is still in use today. In 2021 she was awarded the South African Writer’s Guild “Muse” Award for best feature documentary script in 2020
