The medium of radio has its own challenges and opportunities when it comes to storytelling . Is all documentary storytelling the same? What are the specific ways to elevate your storytelling in the medium of radio? How can you make the best of the medium of radio when writing your documentary script? We’ll be taking a look at the similarities and differences between video documentaries and radio documentaries.
Join us as we explore how to create compelling narratives that resonate with listeners and make an impact through the art of radio documentary writing.

Meet your speaker
Hanné Koster is an award-winning television director, documentary filmmaker, scriptwriter, and video editor.
Her career started in radio, after which she moved to the television industry and teaching. She has a BA (Hons) in Communications and an MA in Creative Writing (UFS). She used to be a lecturer in broadcast journalism at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and is currently a part-time trainer with the WGSA, as well as the Documentary Filmmakers’ Association’s communications manager.
She has certifications in digital marketing and content marketing.
Hanné is passionate about storytelling, environmental issues and sustainable living.
