Join Sechaba Morojele, an award-winning filmmaker with nearly 30 years of industry experience, as he unpacks the power of the 3-act structure in storytelling.
Meet your speaker
Sechaba Morojele brings nearly 30 years of experience in the TV and film industry. With a BSc. Degree in Statistics from the University of Manchester, he worked as a Statistician in England and South Africa before pursuing an MFA in film directing from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. His thesis film, Ubuntu’s Wounds, won numerous awards, including Best Short Film at the Pan African Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Director’s Guild of America (DGA) Student Award for outstanding achievement in directing. The film aired on HBO for two years.
Sechaba is a versatile industry professional, working as an actor, writer, director, producer, and script editor. His recent acting work includes roles such as Dr. Sid in Netflix’s Queen Sono and Rubin in BET’s Isono. Through his production company, Provoke Entertainment, he has produced three TV series for SABC1 and SABC2. Sechaba is also a preferred script editor for the NFVF and KZNFC, having script edited Silverton Siege, Mandla Dube’s acclaimed Netflix original film.
